Heavy bleeding between periods?!
Question: I am on the pill and am 7 days away from my last one this month. I missed one pill this month but that was more than a week ago. Yesterday I started to bleed, and it is really really heavy and dark in colour, like the heaviest day of the heavy periods I used to have before i started the pill a year ago.
Should I see a doctor or is this just breakthrough bleeding? I always thought breakthrough bleeding was just like spotting.
I am worried that maybe I was pregnant and this is some sort of very early miscarriage.

When in doubt, seek medical attention. Situations like this are sticky, as every woman is different. What may be true for one person isn't necessarily true for another.
