Usually doing a normal amount of exercise won't be able to affect your baby, however athletic competition type exercise e.g. 8+ hours a day will have a significant impact on your body as an example it can make you not have your period.

Make sure you get enough calories per day based on your workout as it is possible to starve your body/baby.

If you eat any workout formula e.g. protein shakes etc., you need to make sure they are good for your baby e.g. it doesn't get too much from one thing and too little from another.

Also check what vitamins you are getting from what you eat, when in doubt take a supplement but don't overdo it. For example I am not sure if a too high dose of a vitamin e.g. C can change your babies environment.

Remember if something happens to your baby, you will spend your entire life dealing with this situation, sometimes it is better to take a break and not risk it.

No, it is pretty well protected, unless the woman so depleted her body as to place her own health at risk.

well dont go kickboxing or anything but moderate is sugsted i did it the whole time i walked 4 miles a day untill i had mine so i stayed thin and dident get all fat but i dont recommend it.

the docs always say do what you have been doing. The baby is fine. So long as there is no direct contact to the fetus through your stomach. Another thing is that great activity helps your baby sleep. The rocking lulls them. The amniotic fluid and the uterus and then your bladder and then your skin all protect the baby. So just go about normal routine. Plus get the book 'What To Expect When Your Expecting' Its a guide to pregnancy and early parenthood, it tells you EVERYTHING month by month and is a lifesaver. My clinic hands them out to every parent free of charge. Otherwise they are at walmart, kmart etc., bookstores, and every kid place. It's a need to have!!!
