well you do have to step back away from the sexual aspect of it...really.
i mean after seeing that many crotches of woman, not to mention you have to think they deal with all ages all the way up to the 90's as well...and the obese woman too...they deal with infections and hair and anything..

we don't really need to see gynocologists unless referred to one, when i have a smear test, i just see a regular nurse. but when i do have to see a gyno, its usually a man. doesn't mean there aren't any female ones,just that you don't see them very often.
Maybe it feels a little bit awkward if it your first time to be checked by a male doctor. If it is uncomfortable for you to have a male gynecologist, find a female doctor. It is best to consult to a doctor whom you are comfortable with.
It is not awkward in general to have male gynos as they are all professionals and trained to do their field of specialty.

No, I think a lot of girls find that they are uncomfortable with male gynecologists. They are fine though. I have one. I always did. I know that when you are getting checked you are nerves and worry that they are going to see you naked. While your on the table just remember one thing. You are just another bottom to him. He's seen them all. He has seen many boobs. I don't have a problem with them. Most male gyno. have great bedside manners. They know you may be uncomfortable. I joke with mine while he's checking me out.
i've seen a male before. it was a little weird. the nurses helped me feel better but i like having a female gyno better. i dont think its odd for a male to be a gyno. i mean its just a job, being a doctor in general has some "odd" things to the job.
Gender doesn't matter, if they are good and professional it shouldn't mean anything. If I were female I wouldn't want a male. Unless they were gay, the guys who go into that field are obviously interested in vaginas, theres no way a man can look into the field without any type of perversion. Maybe I'm wrong, but no matter who you are you can still be a pervert.
