Experience of the contraceptive implant?!


Question: My doctor has recommended that I have a contraceptive implant. I am interested to know how other woman have found it in terms of side effects, the procedure and also, can you see or feel it once it is in?

I had implanon implanted in my upper left arm in august last year which will make me infertile until 2010 or until its removed. The only side effect i had apart from the LA being painful and not working for me, was a positive one....my periods have stopped altogether.

I can't speak from experience and don't know any women who have had it, but there seem to be some good advantages to having the contraceptive implant. See the link below for more information. Good luck.

don't think you would be able to feel it

When I was choosing a bc method, I researched them all. Those who use the IUD can have horrible side effects on a woman's fertility.
