Can Endometriosis cause problems for your other organs?!

Question: Endo can and does implant anywhere in the body - including the *brain* and even the nasalocrimal region. While uncommon, it does happen and has been documented in every part of the body. Obviously, the abdominopelvic organs are the most commonly affected, but the lungs are affected in a growing number of patients as well, followed by other regions. Bowel, bladder, diaphragmatic, and reproductive organ involvement are most common and implants in these areas can cause significant pain and infertility. The goal is to remove all disease from all areas, thereby inducing relief and limited recurrence.

It could cause problems for your uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes.

it depends on where the endo is located I believe. for instance, endo doesn't ALWAYS occur in the pelvic area but can occur on other organs in the body...however it it most common for it occur on the uterus in a female. I'm not sure of too many implications, other than the pain and possible infertility down that road.

I've been told that I might have endo, but I'm not an expert on it.

I think it could. Have a word with a doctor, chemist or nurse to find out about it.
