When were you treated? Has it cleared up? Then shag away.

If you've just started taking antibiotics and want to get it on, wait. Your partner won't get it, but they could make it worse for you. Sex can irritate the area, aggravate the soreness. I made the mistake of having sex after seeing the doctor when I was 18 or so and it hurt like a ************. Also, antibiotics make the pill/patch/shot less effective, so use back up protection unless you're trying to get pregnant.

You know your body more than anyone, so do what feels good and won't get you another UTI.

Final thought: cranberry juice. Drink it regularly, especially if you get UTIs.

Most likely not but that is disgusting (oral).

It isn't the UTI itself thats passed on the same way that an STD or other infections are, but partners can pass bacteria which may cause UTIs back and forth. Use protection to lower this risk, but don't use condoms with spermicide if you suffer from UTIs frequently as they can facilitate more infections.

Females normally carry bacterial floras in plenty in their genitourinary tract. Sometimes treatment take cares of the symptoms in toto but some bacteria remain ( may not be sensitive to the drugs used ), which though may not cause problems in the carrier but when transmitted to the other partner can cause infection to partner. Even oral cavity have many bacterias mainly commensals but sometimes can cause infection when transmitted to a person with low resistance.

If your treatment included antibiotics, that could be a problem. Antibiotics cause yeast infections by killing both good and bad bacteria. Yeast infections CAN be transmitted thru both oral and intercourse, so both of you need to be treated to avoid transmitting it back and forth between the two of you.

It's not very possible after treatment however don't risk,or don't take chances. the treatment may not be all that perfect untill when tested negative. After treatment signs and symptoms may disappear but the infection may have persisted in one way or another.
Avoid oral sex because to me its un human
