Sorry- quite possible the worlds dumbest question- but, i gotta ask?!

Question: I am a bit embarassed to even ask this, how do you know when you've found your clit? like where.. exactly is it located how far in etc? because i found something that i think may be it, but it didn't feel like anything when i just touchced it. i thought it was supposed to be extra sensitive so.. maybe this isn't it. i dunno! please help!

To locate your clitoris, lie down or sit in a chair with your legs spread apart and your pelvis slightly tilted, and position a small hand mirror in between your legs.

You will see two flaps of skin called the outer lips, which are more or less pronounced, depending on your body.

These lips surround a second set of soft, hairless flaps called the inner lips. These are sensitive to the touch and with sexual stimulation may swell and turn darker.

Directly above where the inner lips meet at the top of your vulva you will see another fold of skin called the hood. Gently pull back the hood and you should see what looks like a small nubbin underneath. This is the glans, the tip of your clitoris.

Many people think that this is the entire clitoris, but there is in fact a shaft that runs from the hood up to the pubic symphysis. It is a hardish, rubbery, movable cord right under the skin and can also provide sexual arousal.

Some women feel nervous or embarrassed about touching themselves and that is perfectly fine. What is important is that you feel comfortable with whatever you do.

Your clit is actually on the outside of your body. It is the sensitive part that you can feel.

It's the little knobby thing that sticks out a little above the hole

it is just proberbly yr skin but i dun know cause i am a boy
just looking and found this page

You should be embarrassed to ask a question like that. Ask a friend or someone close to you. Not yahoo answers.

I'm not expecting the 10 points for my answer, but it is the truth.

It's not a dumb question...many women don't even find theirs until much later in life. It's tiny and hard to find! There are lots of websites that will illustrate where it is, just put in the word "clitoris" and you'll find them. Mine isn't very sensitive when I touch it, in fact I can't get an orgasm from it, I need my G-spot stimulated instead. So maybe you're one of the minority like me.

its on the outside of you body and you can actually see it. its like a little nub just kind of there. that's how you masturbate and yes it is sensitive:-)
