I am 13 years old, and i am terrified of visting the doctor, does any one have a!

Question: It is seeing the doctor in general at the office.

Answers: It is seeing the doctor in general at the office.

if its just a general check up you have absolutely nothing to worry about. When i was 13 i had to have some sort of exam where i wore only the robe, and i had to spread my legs. all she did was look, she didn't touch anything, but i was a nervous wreck. just be calm, and remember that doctors see so many patients, that there is no reason for you to be scared or nervous. just take deep breaths and think about something you like to do (i.e. maybe going to the beach, hanging out with friends, etc.) and it will be over before you know it :)

are you that scared?
think about it the doctor will make you feel better and get better 349843985 times faster!

Most people get anxious when they see a Dr so u are not alone. He/she won't do anything you dont want them to do and sounds to me its just going to be a general checkup like take temp, blood pressure etc.
The best way to deal with fear is FACE IT head on. That way, you will never be fearful of the Dr again. If you always avoid unpleasant or fearful situations you will just be making things worse for yourself.

Why are you so terrified of the doctor? Is he meen or somethin? Dont worry he wont bite! lol.

will first of all i was like you but what i did is: i have think about the time that i will spending it with the doctor which is about or less than 30 min and about the time that I'll be in pain for 24 hour so I take the 30 min and the night of long sleeping.

And remember this one of the step in your life and it's will help you to be stronger in the future.

Ask yourself what it is that frightens you about going to the doctor. It is different for each person with that fear. Then you can address the issue directly. Hopefully you have a doctor that you have seen more than once. If it is a problem with that doc, you can always find a new one. If it is the first time, you will have to see if you get along with the one you are seeing. They should go out of their way to make you comfortable and may be able to help calm your fears. If it is about the exam, talk to the doctor or their staff ahead of time about what to expect. In general, doctors try not to scare their patients and are genuinely there to help you out. Finally, talk with your parents or another trusted adult about your fear. They may be able to answer questions you have or help to calm you.
