This is TMI but I really need help?!

Question: Ok sorry all bare with me here, everytime I go for a bowel movement i feel something in my vagina. I looked and it looked like a tumor or something coming out. But it only happens when i am pushing. I called maternity and they said that seen as how I have had 2 kids it may be my uterus or bladder coming down with the pushing because of the weakend muscles. Has anyone experienced this?

Wow - Hey first off this type of forum is for these exact kind of questions, so don't be embarassed for asking them.

I have never heard of this, but seems kind of serious. I never heard of someone's uterus actually "Falling Out" because of having kids - joked about it - but never actually heard of it happening.

All kidding aside - make an appointment with your OB/GYN. If it is serious enough you may qualify for abdominalplasty after the baby is born to strengthen the muscle. I hope you find the answer and it's not so serious.

no sorry I haven't. I would go to your OBGYN and see what's going on down there. good luck

ya my husbands sister just had a screen put in their because her bladder was falling from having children, dont fret it can be fixed, shes all back to normal

yesh, i have experienced it but only if my stool is exessively firm......and i haven.t even had ANY kids!!!! it is indeed because of the weekend muscle which seperates the bowels and the vaginal tract.....i just try to remember to drink prune juice or whatever other natural stool softener to avoid this......yesh, u r not the only one......

What she said.

My grandmother's uterus started to fall out of her vagina. She had a lot of problems with it, and she eventually got a procedure done where they put like a ledge in her vagina, blocking it off, so that nothing could fall out.

my mom has... she had to have surgery... her bladder & virginia were placed in this mesh sling kind of thing...

This is actually a condition called vaginal prolapse. My mom had the problem, and had surgery to correct it. They used a special type of net to secure her bladder in place. Her prolapse happened years after she had a hysterectomy, but it can happen to women who have not had a hysterectomy. You can also just google vaginal prolapse and get lots of helpful information.
