OBGYN appointment?!

Question: I have a appointmnet this morning for a normal yearly check up. I have some other topics that I would like to discuss with my doctor that has no relation to this specific appointment. I want to ask him if he can give me some sort of prescription for my acne. Would it be possible for him to do that? I know he is a doctor but not for acne. Thanks!

He or she should be able to answer all your questions, or refer you to another doctor. My obgyn has nurse practioners that are great also. I don't have a regular doctor, I just go to my obgyn for everything, even an earache.

I think it is possible because i once asked my family doctor about my acne problem and he recommended a very good medicine.

you can ask him.

You can ask if he can give you anything for it. Your doctor might have you go to a dermatologist to give you the prescription instead.

you can ask most he will give you is birth control pills that will help out with ur ance problem

A family doctor would be more apt to prescribe a acne med. than a OBGYN. Try the pill, it cleared my skin up!

Sure you can ask him. I'm sure he sees a lot of women who have that problem. But if he doesn't help much then I'd invest the money in seeing a person who specializes in treatment of the skin, a dermatologist.

it won't hurt to ask. but if (s)he can't and you really want a medication i would go to a skin doctor. (aka dermatolist.) there are alot of woman with this problem so why don't you check google for more info! hope this helps! you can e-mail me at mariadancegirl@yahoo.com or you can aim me at mariadancegirl

Sure, you can ask him anything...but I don't know what he will be able to do about it. Yeah...there's nothing wrong with asking, and he might be able to refer you to a dermatologist.

U should ask him/her but if ur acne is real bad moderate,or in a little area then you should use proactive,i do but i only have two on my left cheek, one on the other, and near my hair line, ever since my 1st day i used it it cleared up and ive not acne for 2months now, but the downside is you'll have to keep using it for a while depending on how bad urs is.
