I was 10 - the good news is, if you start early, you also END early. I quit long before any of my friends. (although you do have to wait quite a few years in between)!!!
I think a girl should have their period when they are around 12-13 but girls get it anywhere from 8-17

Baybee is right. I got it when I was 12, but I know girls that got their period when they were 9 or 10. I think a girl should never get their period, it's a pain in the butt!
Don't worry I got mine at the age of 10
i had mine at 14 but everyone is different and heritor (genes from your female family) probably had something to do with it
i got mine at 11. it would b nice if we all ours at the same age, but sum gurls are unlucky enough to get theirs as early as 8. i feel bad for those girls! i dont kno if ne1 could rly define an "appropriate" age to start having periods. when ur body is ready, its just ready.
altho...i wouldnt mind if mine had started later!
I got mine at age 13. My daughter Hannah got hers at 14 and my daughter Paige at 11. Everyones is different. Most of the time 10-16.
