Questions for moms who had a different due date according to last period and ult!
Question: so, i thought i was 36 weeks 5 days but aparently i am 37w5d! all of my paperwork that i received from my doc yesterday has march 8 as my due date, which was the date they figured from my last period. my 1st ultrasound, done around 8 weeks, dated me for march 15. however, my doc has still been going by the march 8 due date.
for moms that this also happened to, which date did you deliver closer to? i know everyone's different, but i'm curious. i'm also bummed because i wanted at least a week off before my due date, and now only will have 2 days.

The early ultrasound is more accurate basis for estimating gestational age (that is the crown rump length).The variability of gestational age estimation increases as pregnancy advances.By the time pregnancy has reached the third trimester it becomes less accurate as a basis for fetal aging.The last menstrual period still is valuable and reliable in conjunction with early ultrasound....You are very much at term when you reach 37weeks and at this time frequent visits are important for more important tests like BPS and non-stress tests.Your doctor is doing good
