Pap test..for the ladies...?!
Question: do you feel comfortable with a male doctor or female.
i had one done last year and it was a woman,but now that we switched doctors im a little nervous, because its a guy help.

I go to a male doc and he is great! Male docs learn the same things that females do. A woman doc can only relate if she has went thruogh it and what are the chances of that? About being uncomfortable, I just remember how many pap test he has done for the day. EEWWW! LOL! Good Luck
I've only gone to females but lots of women I know love their male doctors. I just feel that a man cannot relate as well to my issues because he doesn't have the same equipment....that's probably shallow of me.....
i would definitly not feel comfortable with a male doctor. It grosses me out all the way. I will always have female doctors and if the doctor's office doesnt supply one...then it's time for a new doctor. ;]]
I have been seen by both a man and a women doctor. My gyno right now is a man and I like him alot. He has delivered both of my daughters and he is my doctor now for my 3rd child. You have to realize that this is a professional career for them. I did find I could talk to the woman more about sexual stuff. She was a nurse practitioner in the same office as my regular male doctor. I think just as long as you find someone you feel comfortable with is what matters....not the gender.
For me, as long as they are equally experienced, I would choose whomever has the smallest fingers! If he has the most experience out of any of your choices, then stick with him.
i have been to both. i felt that i could talk more comfortably about sex issues with my female dr. than i did with my male doctor.
I will only see a female doctor for a pap test.
