Itchiness and if u dont start treatment like immediately, it gets so intense daily life becomes a misery.

itchy 'dry' feeling.
basicaly it is a fungal infection. usually caused by poor hygeine (but not always).
tinea (human fungus) needs moisture,ie your sweat, heat, and dark places to flourish. which is why people get fungal infections on their feet. feet are sweaty and shoved in dark areas, your shoes, with no breathing room. same concept, only down there... plenty of over the counter meds, if problem persists go see your health care provider

Itching is a symptom. Burning upon urination can also be a symptom. If it is bad enough you can get extreme fatigue. Can be caused by different things. Some can get them from bubble baths, wearing too tight jeans, drinking too much coffee, soda, even taking antibiotics can cause yeast infections. Depends on the person. Others can do all the above and not get one.

Yeast infections are caused when yeast levels spike and/or beneficial bateria levels drop creating an inbalance. Most broad-spectrum antibiotics will cause a yeast infection, but they can also happen on their own. Symptoms are usually vaginal discomfort, and a thickening of the vaginal fluid, sometimes described as looking like "cottage cheese" (nasty way to say it I know, but hey it works). Urinary pain is not typically attributed to yeast infections.

Usually itchy down there. Smell changes to a "bread-y" scent. and discharge changes.

Mostly the symptoms depend on what type it is though

It is an intense itching and burning sensation. It could be red or swollen. It looks like clumpy nasty white stuff, like gross discharge. It could smell like bread, beer, yeast, or have no smell at all. You can have painful urination. The vagina will be very irratated and it will be very uncomfortable. You might want to go see a doctor about it.
Good luck.

feels like an intense itching, burning sensation, localized in your vagina and vulva. this itching is not always present, but can get really bad, so bad you can hardly walk, let alone ride your bike to the pharmacy or doctor to get it treated.
looks like clumpy nasty white stuff. most medical descriptions compare the discharge to ricotta cheese, but it can range from thick and not clumpy to faintly yellow to thin and clear.

smells like bread or beer. in fact, it smells pretty much exactly like yeast, although the yeast used in brewing and baking is an entirely different species (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). no bacteria could smell like that, so it's a great diagnostic.

vaginal yeast infections are caused by Candida albicans, which, along with a few types of bacteria, are normally present in relatively small numbers in your crotch. sometimes the yeast multiply rapidly and take over, causing a full-fledged yeast infection. this can be due to a change in the vaginal environment, antibiotics are probably the leading cause of vaginal yeast infections in american wimmin, clothing: crotch yeasties flourish in non-cotton, tight, or dirty clothes that trap heat and moisture, such as inks, dyes, and perfumes, can upset the balance in your crotch or trigger allergic reactions that lead to yeat infections, and hormones.

feels like an intense itching, burning sensation, localized in your vagina and vulva.recognizing other types of infections
there are other nasty creatures besides yeast that can sometimes infect your crotch, and it's helpful to know the symptoms of all of them so you can be really sure before you go treat yourself for a yeast infection you might not have.

a bacterial infection of the vagina can feel a lot like a yeast infection if the vulval area is itchy or painful. unlike a yeast infection, the discharge can be dark yellow, green, or brown. and it won't smell like bread: it can smell like fish or something rotting, particularly after you have sex. if you think you might have a bacterial infection, or if you're not sure, get your diseased self to a doctor, sister. the main treatment is prescription antibiotics.

urinary tract infections, or UTIs, are due to bacteria infecting the urethra rather than the vagina. (and if you aren't sure about the difference, check out elf sternberg's page on the sexual anatomy of women.) UTIs can be fairly easily distinguished from vaginal infections by a host of symptoms, including pain or burning when urinating, blood or mucus in urine, needing to urinate often, pain or pressure in back or lower abdomen, and a fever or chills. if you think you might have a UTI, don't mess around: go see a doctor, because the infection can travel up past the bladder, causing kidney damage.

trichomoniasis is caused by a parasite that can infect both the vagina and the urinary tract, and is primarily sexually transmitted. if you have a trich infection, your crotch can be itchy or painful, it can hurt to urinate, intercourse can be painful, and occasionally you can experience pain in your lower abdomen. again, you have to see a doctor to get antibiotics for trich
