There's a lot to tell her but start with these
1. You can't really feel it
2. everygirl has it sooner or later
3. there are numerous symptoms including:
Bloating
Headache
Cramps in the lower abdoman
Backaches
PMS (explain what is is)
Cravings
Feeling gross
Discharge
etc.
And answer any qustions about these things. Then go own telling her that you have to wear a pad or a tampon, they need to be changed ever 3 or so hours depending on the flow. You don't throw them in the toilet, wrap them in toilet paper and put them in the trash. .... There is so much you could say but the MOST IMPORTANT thing is that when it happens tell her you will be there to guide her through the months of womanhood : )
Hope I helped.
E-mail me if you have any more questions

it may feel wet, but not like your peeing, the brown stuff is her start of her period it will be that way till she bleeds red, and it will be brown at the end of the cycle also, tell her its a good thing . she is now becoming a women.

well she could get her period anywhere from age 11-18. and for all girls it feels different. light brown stuff could be the beginning of a period. for some girls it feels like you are peeing your pants uncontrollably. you may feel the wetness of it. and you may not. some girls get cramps and some dont. some have light periods and some dont. i am very lucky. i dont get cramps. and i dont have heavey periods. so hopefully she will have the same luck when she gets hers.

when i wus her age our school had all the 5th grade girls in the gym to watch a video of what its like to go through puburty and it does not hurt, you shouldnt feel it, i would go get her pads and show her how they work and have her wear them and see if she gets it for the next couple weeks. ask if they have that puberty talk for school and she can ask all the questions she has to ask there too

Explain that it will not feel like your peeing your pants but just kinda wet or that how it feels is just too hard to explain. Explain that she might have cramps and how to take care of them. That light brown discharge is the start of her period, so just show her how to use a pad/tampon and let her know she can come to you with any other questions about this or if she needs any "Supplies".
