Blood in cervical mucus?!

Question: Today I notice I had a lil bit of blood im my cervical mucus I didnt think anything about it at the time. I just notice that its still doing that and its on my pad a little. Its clear then it has pink and red blood in it but not much. I just got off of my period the 15th. I know im not pregnant and I dont ovulate until 26th or 27th. I had sex early this morning and it hurt a little but not bad. Sorry to much info there but im a lil worried since I never have blood in my cervical mucus at all until its time for my period. So can some one help me plz? Could it be because of the sex? btw i never have done this after having sex either.

I would say it is from the sex. Often times a woman can get small rips and tears in her vaginal canal during sex. It won't pour out; rather, it will do exactly what is happening to you.

However, if it does not resolve within a day and continues, please call a doctor right away. This could be a sign of a more serious condition. Keep an eye on it, and check it every hour. If the flow becomes heavier and looks like a bright red color and is watery, call a doctor or go to the hospital. Hope this helps!

Was the intercourse rougher than normal? Do you itch? It could be a little infection. If it continues, I recommend going to the doctor.

Good luck.

Its probably just related to the intercourse, nothing to worry about.

When you were saying cervix mucus I thought you meant you were losing your plug and going into labor. That would be totally normal. Then you mentioned you just got off your period and I realized my assumption was way off. Call your gyno, you might be infected, or it could be nothing at all, but it's always safer to get it checked!

I've read that blood tinted cervical mucus is super fertile and is ideal if you're trying to get regnant. You may be ovulating earlier than usual since you normally ovulate quite late. The pain during sex could be due to your cervix being open, which is another indicatior of ovulation. If you're trying to get preg. lots of baby dust to you because it sounds like you're super fertile right now!
