In all actuality, its better to be safe than sorry. They are so many different types of things that could be going on with your girlfriend, vaginally-in the form of an infection. It may not necessarily be an STD but it still warrants a doctors attention if she has yellow discharge (not normal). Another thing that you should take into consideration is that, STD's can be contracted orally. While it is a rare occurance, Im sure you wouldnt want to end up with something that could have been prevented.
Stay away until her problem has been diagnosed.

I,m afraid your girlfriend may have some kind of infection ,it could be something as simple as thrush, but she definitely needs to get checked over.Its completely confidential and you could and should go along with her.
She might just have an infection or maybe some STD. Hopefully not the latter because it would be transferred to you too. Don't jump into any conclusiona yet without a doctor's diagnosis.
You should try telling her nicely so that she would understand how you feel and get it checked up.
