Can you remover mirena IUD your self or do you have to have the doctor do it?!
Question: if you can remove it your self how do you remove it?
Answers: if you can remove it your self how do you remove it?
You cannot remove any IUD yourself. Even if you could locate it and get hold of it... which is extremely unlikely to the point of being just about impossible.. you could puncture your uterine lining and bleed to death in the process. The point of an IUD is to stay in there and they are built in a way that they aren't going to slip out easily. To have one taken out by the Dr. would not be expensive, but if you are in pain or having trouble from one.. you can probably go to planned parenthood or the ER if necessary to get it done.
No no no. You need the doctor to do it. It is in your uterus!
Only a doctor can do it.
It is possible to do it yourself if you can find the strings, but if it broke or is embedded in the uterine wall you would need to get it surgically removed and it would end up being much more expensive. It is not worth taking the risk of trying yourself. Just go to the Dr.
