Pus coming out of scar from Laparoscopy?!

Question: Hi, Last week I had a laparoscopy in which has nothing but been painful since then, whereas I really shouldn't be in much pain. It's been really red for the last few days so my doctor thinks it is now infected, she has prescribed antibiotics for me and now there is all this pus coming out of it. Is this a good thing or should I go back to my doctor. It's really really sore, and I have a stinging sensation. Your help please!!!!

Call your doctor ASAP and let him/her know what's going on. If the pus has developed or worsened since starting the antibiotics, then the bacteria may be resistant to that particular antibiotic. I had laparoscopy recently and two of my six port incisions became infected, and it took weeks to get under control. In the meantime, use a little hydrogen peroxide to clean the infected areas a few times a day.

Good luck!

yes you definitely need to return to your dr
you need to get that take of immediately before it spreads!!
