Urinary tract infection? or Chlyamidia?!
Question: this is kind of embarresing to ask, so please be nice...
once in a while i get uriniary tract infections and the doctor gives me pills to make them go away. Me and my long time bf have sex often and just the other day i got a UTI. but a day b4 i got it i have a brownish discharge n was a little freaked. i am on birth control so idk if that has something to do with it, i did take it a lot later that day than i usually do. neither of us has any std's or any signs, but could i have chylamidia? i havent been with anyone else n either has he. but could my UTI's be chlymidia? thank you

I'm sure it is just a UTI, and also I was told you shouldn't have sex if you have any type of vaginal infection or UTI. And for the discharge it's probably just your bc pills. I know because my pills have done the same thing to me. That's why they tell you not to miss a day and to try to take them the same time everyday.
Any unusual colored discharge is a sign of infection. Sounds like it may be Chlamydia. It's a bacterial infection from having multiple sex partners. Go to the clinic and get tested, and then dump your boyfriend.
More than likely its just a simple UTI. Ask your PCP to do a chylamidia test on you just to be certain.
OK Hun you need to go back to your doctor and tell them you want tested for std's other wise they are just going to test you for uti's so just to be safe i lol my first was with my long tern bf and he told me he hadn't been with no one but but lol then how did he give me chlamydia and chlamydia is curable take antibiotics and it will go way but he has to get treated for it too other wise he will just give it right back to you.
To get the best answer, you have to ask your medical professional. They can do a quick smear to test what type of agent is causing it, whether it is some generic bacteria or chlamydia/gonorrhea. A UTI can be caused by many agents, some of which are STDs. Regardless, they are all treated by appropriate antibiotics, but if they are STDs, you want to make sure that your partners are tested so that you don't get re-infected or spread it others.
A brownish discharge indicates bacterial infection. You may consult your Doctor for necessary examination and treatment.
