Menstraul cycle question...?!

Question: I have been getting my period twice a month for the last three months (like on the first and in the twenties of each month) and Im just wondering why and if it's potentially harmful? I haven't been on birth control for four years now and Im in my twenties. Also, I have never had kids and Im relatively healthy. Any ideas? Thanks

The average normal cycle is 28-30 days...so if your period starts on the first, your next period would start 28 days later, a couple days before the 28 days or after is normal.
If you have concerns make an appointment with your gyno.

things like that just happen. i wouldn't be too worried about it.

aint that normal?

It sounds like you might have a hormonal imbalance. You need to see your doctor because this is considered abnormal uterine bleeding. One of the worse things that can happen is that you can become anemic because of the loss of blood. I would get in to see your doctor.

It should straighten itself out, but if you're really worried about it put in call to your doctor's/nurse practitioner's office.
Good luck to you.

well, a woman's cycle is never completely normal, but if it bothers you, u should see the doctor

yes it can be harmful because u r loseing to much blood and u r only supose to go on ur period once a month not twice a month

Well I don't want to make you worry but you really should talk to an OB/GYN dear.

It is possible that your hormones are mixed up a bit, but if it's been going on for a few months it could also be a sign of something else. A good OB/GYN can help you detect early problems that can be treated before you have a major one.

It is not healthy to bleed twice a month (especially if they are both full periods), you should ask the Dr to test your iron levels while you are at it.

Good luck.

its a bit wierd but probably nothing to worry about as stress and things can change your cycle, giove it a few more months but if your really worried then it might be worth going to the doctors
