Females that have experienced genital mutilation can in fact pee and do get their periods.

It's the clitoris that is in essence removed.

The clitoris has nothing to do with urination or menstruation.

It does, however, have everything to do with sexual pleasure, and it is usually done to control women's sexuality, so they don't cheat on their husbands. The women are used for reproduction purposes and for the pleasure of their husbands.

It's pre-caveman mentality, and many young girls wind up with infections or dying as a result of what is almost always an unsterile procedure.

omg yea fatima!!!
i know! how do they pee and do they get their periods!?!?!?

the opening for urination is diferent from having a period and sex. i dont think they can really enjoy sex as much as if it wasnt mutilated. but a period i believe could still occur.

All depends on the method used (all methods should be abolished). In my anthropology class many years ago, we studied this subject. Quite disturbing. Most mutilations have nothing to do with the reproductive area of the female genitals, only the parts that would make them enjoy sexual acts in an attempt to have them be more loyal to their mates. All functions having to do with reproducing or urinating are left alone as they still need to be able to give birth and eliminate waste.

fgm is where the clit and "lips" are removed, the vagina is shown mostly shut. the girl is left a small opening for her period. its disgusting and usually not done by drs. its mainly done by tribes in other conutrys. they do this so the girl will not connect sex with pleasure and her future husband knows he has a virgin. its disgusting and painful.

I don't believe periods are affected at all.

What they feel sexually is limited to the sensation of their outer lips (providing they're not cut back, too, as is sometimes the case) and inside their vagina.

It's impossible for men to comprehend the effect except that it's the same as if 2/3 of their penis was cut off. If it's just the clitoris that's cut out, that's the same as cutting off the entire head (glans) of a man's penis (not just the foreskin). Cruel, sadistic and barbaric.

I am assuming that you mean that this woman had her clitoris removed, which is also called female circumcision, even though that is a total misnomer. This would not at all interfere with her periods because the clit has nothing to do with one's ability to menstruate. Yes, though, she should be able to still experience sexual arousal and possibly even orgasm, though it would certainly be harder without it.

Female genital mutilation is when the external parts of the genitalia is cut off. So the clitoris and the labia. I'm sure that they probably deal with their periods the same way we do it they haven't had an infection that has made them infertile.
