Contraceptive pill??!
Question: I recently started on the contraceptive pill..i took it on the first day of bleeding and iv been bleeding non stop for the past 3 weeks!! its lightned but its still carrying on and today was the 21st day which mean me withdrawel time is tomorrow so il also be bleeding for the next week. does anyone know why?? like is this normal??

Hey. I have the same problem and dont listen to the person who wrote you started your pill on the wrong time. You are correct, start it on day one you start bleeding or day two to five at most... I just had my doctor give me pills and I have the same problem, been bleeding since 3 weeks ago and i am about to have that withdrawal time too. So he says it is normal, must be the hormones adjusting...I have had this happen before on the first pack. Visit your doctor but you should be ok on your next pack. I am hoping my next pack I will regulate it then too. Changing packs anyway, so I start right after the 21st active pill.
That's not normal. You are supposed to start your pill the day after the last day of your period. You should not have started it on the first day of your period unless otherwise instructed by your doctor. (I don't know if your doctor told you to start them when you start your period. You may want to clarify this with your doctor.)
With that in mind, if you started your pill on the first day of your period, the hormones theoretically should have stopped any bleeding within a few days. It would have tricked the body into saying that it is not time to have your period. Because your period has lasted 21 days, I suggest you see your doctor. This isn't normal.
