Weird period, spotting 2 days after?!
Question: I have a 28 day cycle and its never irregular light. Last month I had a normal period (1st month on Yasmin after switching from Alesse). Second month I am late by 2 days, bright red heavy flow for a few hours, later at night there was almost nothing. Overnight very little, second day it was still pretty light, third day (last day) it was light too. I start my pill tonight but there is still a little bit of bleeding and it has persisted all day long. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex and he pulled out before he came (I'm sure he pre-came we did it for very long) and I missed 2 pills about a week to a week and a half after having sex. We had sex about a week after my last period. My period is never late or irregular or this light, i have missed pills before and nothing has ever happened.
Why did my period not go weird last month but this month it didn't? 2 days after my last day i was still bleeding..almost like spotting and I had a really bad headache that has persisted for 4 days

It sounds like you may be experiencing some side effects from switching from one type of pill to another. They may have different hormones which will affect your body. Missing pills will also throw off your hormonal cycle. Did you miss the two BC pills in a row? There may be a chance of getting pregnant because of the unprotected sex, so you can also take a PG test to be sure. Headaches can also be caused by the hormonal changes. Four days in a row kinda stinks...sorry u r experiencing this. Call your doctor's office and speak to one of the nurses. They don't charge for phone advice and know a lot more about how the BC pills can affect your body. Good luck to you and take care.
I've taken Yasmin before and when through that so i know how it is, but if you had unprotected sex and skipped pills then get a preg test, just to see before you keep taking Yasmin.
