Just because you just got it doesn't mean it's abnormal.

Once you start puberty a white and/or clear discharge is normal. You will also have your own scent and it will smell stronger to you than to others. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused or if your body is detoxing and trying to clean itself out.

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.

Different types of infections:

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching

Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

Signs of trichomoniasis
A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge
An unpleasant odor
Pain and itching when urinating
Most apparent after your period

yes it turned out to be bacterial vaginosis, its an overgrowth of bacteria that is treated with antibiotics, but also beware of the fact that taking antibiotics of any kind can bring on a yeast infection,

yes it has happened to me and it still is when your a woman things like this just happen its normal for every girl sometimes in your life period it changes from one year it can be very lite and the next year you could get a oz. of it everytime you go pee the best thing i can suggst is to wear panty liners they work the best and i hope this answer helped!

get checked for bacterial vaginosis, trust me, i had the same problem for a really long time, some doctors wont treat it because they say it will go away on its own, but some (like mine) didnt so they had to give me antibiotics. I mean every body is different, but you have all the same symptoms i did so i would have it checked out. Good luck! oh and its not sexually transmitted so your man doesnt have to worry.

hey, i had the same thing happen to me but I went to the doctor just in case it could have gotten any worser. My advice would be just go to the doctor, they are going to give you antibiotics and everywthing will be okay.
