Question: well i was in my health class and miss asked who started there periods and the girls who had (encluding me) put our hand up and all the boys were laughing and calling us names and i was offended so boys if u r reading this why do u do it ?

Most of the boys do these kind of silly things just to get attention of girls, positive or negative it doesn't matter.
Probably they did it due to embarrassment. When these boys mature, they will simply accept it as part of life and not be embarrassed, and will deal with it as an adult should. It's just part of being a woman and when they grow up some men even are respectable toward us as it means we are the bearers of miracles, we can create life.

When teen guys have NO idea what they are supposed to do, they laugh and act like monkeys. I was that bad back then, so I apologize.
boys will always be boys, specially when they don't understand things...
I think its awful and somewhat unproffessional that your teacher asked this question at all least of all in a mixed class. Its all a bit mysterious and scary for boys and laughing means that they can cover up their embarassment and worries. I think parents need to explain periods to boys as well as girls as it makes it all a bit less weird for them.
