Is it bad to hae sex?!

Question: when you have a u.t.i?

Answers: when you have a u.t.i?

It depends on the type of UTI but mostly sex is AVOIDED or is done in a SAFE MODE (using condoms etc) to prevent the complications associated with Urinary Tract Infections untill the patient is competely cured.

Patient is also adviced to Micturate (i.e. Urinate) after a session of SAFE SEX to clear up the URETHRA for the safety against "Post Renal UTI" .

prb not a good ideal since it might make it worse
always pee after sex and shower

yes....unless its with me!

It is not "bad" it is just very uncomfortable...

It's probably not going to help the UTI a lot. However, if you make sure to urinate after sex, it will go a long way toward helping clear the urethra of any bacteria that are forced in during sex (not a bad thing to do any time after sex for the same reason). If your partner is concerned, he should wear a condom.

You need to obstain from sex until after your UTI subsides. It does not take that long. Plus a UTI is from bacteria, sex and everything with it is a bunch of bacteria. You should know how painful a UTI is. Why would you want to risk that pain again just because you couldn't wait 2 more days!
Good luck! I hope this helps.

Its probably not a good idea.

It's best to wait until you finish your round of antibiotics, or at least until you are symptom-free. Some women get UTIs from sex, in fact. This may be because of imperfect hygiene on the part of the guy (this may not be cool to say, but guys need to wash their hands etc before sex) or because of high sensitivity to foreign bacteria. I guess you know it's good to wash right after sex, and also to urinate right after.. But really the best way to avoid UTIs from sex (if that is a problem) is to use a condom. (Some women are allergic to the spermicide on condoms, by the way, and may need to shop around for the right kind.) This may be more information than you were interested in... but I hope it helps.
