Abnormal pap smear?!

Question: OK, I went to the GYN because i had a yeast infection. he gave me some cream and did a pap smear. the pap came back abnormal with HPV. i was then sent for a colposcopy/ biopsy and anthor pap. The test results for the pap come back normal and HPV negative. The biopsy showed no abnormal cells but did show inflammation.
My GYN didn't think my pap would come back negative for hpv so soon. do you think the first pap was wrong due to inflammation.

There is many reasons why smear test results can come back incorrect, but in your case its best to discuss it with your doctor.
