I think i lost my IUD?!
Question: i can't find it. i had mirena inserted a little over a year ago and i haven't been able to feel it for about two weeks. a month or so ago i asked if it was untied or something and my mind was reassured that it's fine...now i can't find it! and my husband and i have had sex and now i'm worried that i might get preggers again. =( even worse, die b/c it might end up in a tubal pregnancy...i don't even want to start on what could happen there.
my question is, if you have an iud, did you ever not feel it and just find out that it was simply in but not feel-able? help, help, help. i know, go to the doctor, but do you have the cash for that as i am not on health insurance and the clinics here are dirty and gross.

Hi, I have the 5 year mirena. I have had it for 3 years now. I didn't feel my IUD for the first 1.5 years. Now I feel the "string" but am going in to have it snipped soon. You shouldn't feel it - is what I was told. You don't want your hubby getting his weenie poked while doing the nasty- it's happened to us and oh boy.... NOT GOOD. I think you're fine and it's not lost - your IUD is small and it's safe. No worries :)-
