Anyone ever used this birth control pill?!

Question: I'm 20 years old, and I just switched to a new birth control pill that my doctor suggested--Femcon Fe. I've been an ortho-tri cyclen lo girl for the past year and a half and never had any side effects until recently so I decied to make a brand change. Has anyone ever used this one? Any pros / cons about?

Thanks!

the weirdest thing just happened. I saw your question and i thought hmm just maybe she might be talking about femcon fe. and I was right! yes i'm also on femcon fe for my ovarian cysts. My gyn told me it's the best birth control pill to take for cysts. I'm almost finished with my second pack, and I've noticed my side effects haven't been as serious as the first month. It's different for every women, but during my first month, i had the worst mood swings, and I'm not particularly a moody person. I also have a calm temper and I never get angry at anything easily. During my first month, I exploded over every little thing that ticked me off, and I would cry with frustration at every little thing that frustrated me. Afterwards I would think WOW now why did I cry over something so little just before? I also noticed my period was lighter and not as heavy as it used to be. Now during my second month, I guess my body has gotten used to the hormones, and I don't experience moodiness AS MUCH, thought I still cry unexpectedly over the tiniest things. So all in all, femcon fe just made me much more moodier than I really am. And it might also make you have a bigger appetite, because it did for me. But i just continued to work out so as not to gain any unwanted weight. Another side effect the pills have given me is enlargement of the breasts. I grew one whole cup; I went from a 32B to a 32C. You shouldn't worry about femcon making you nauseous or anything, because the dose of hormones isn't that much.

It could be that your body is use to the medication in the ortho-tri and its not use to the medication in this kind that you are taking now. I have never used this kind myself but I have switched from Alesse 28 to Ortho-Tri Cyclen Lo and there was some side affects such as dizziness, fatigue and nausea.

In all actuality, none of the birth control pills on the market today were ever given enough testing to determine the negative side effects. The safest birth control pill is actually an aspirin. I know it's hard to believe. However, it works. Just prior to getting intimate you simply hold the aspirin between your knees by pressing your knees together to hold it in place. This will prevent you from getting pregnant, and it has no side effects. GOOD LUCK!!!

nope never used it
