If they're as unpredictable as you make them sound, just pick a Sunday and start taking them. Don't be scared of the side affects, they're rare. Just keep an eye on what you're doing so you don't put yourself at risk of any side affects and make sure you report to your doctor if you do experience any.

take it
or ask
someone

You can actually start the same day. The doctor should have explained that to you and its actually quite normal to get on birth control because of periods. i have very irregular bad periods and i am on birth control because of it. If you read the instructions that came with the birth control it will tell you the side effects and when to start but if youre still unsure call your doctor just to double check

You either start on the sunday after you have started your period or the day that you start your period.

it depends on what birth control your on there are two major kinds out there one is you take a certain pill for the most part of the month then take sugar pills for 5 days or something and when you take the sugar pills you get a period but there are the 28 day pill types to and those are just birth control pills ALL the time so you wont have a period at all and i wouldnt take birth control at all cause the side affects are bad with it you gain weight you can become infertile a ton of stuff i have not normal periods and i just deal with it i would never even think of being on birth control cause the side affects and potential long term affects id do research on google about the name of your birth control and see what others have to say about it and their affects even though they will vary person to person

Start a week after your period. Take them when you're supposed to. When I first started taking it I bled for 23 days straight O.o It was called estrostep. But it fixed my periods after the first funky one.

oh i had that too my period was horribly unregular i had periods for days and days and DAYS, and i got on the birth control my period is totally regulated lol its nice not having a period for months at a time. you can start the pill any time you want, but itd be best to start at the beginning of the month or something like that, so its easier to keep track of and regulate. and dont worry about the side effects, nothing too severe, the most you might have is stomach ache maybe nausea but if you dont like the way you feel on it, you can try another birth control pill, i've been on 4 differnt ones before i found one good for me (yaz is what i'm on).

You are old enough to get on the phone and call the doctor to let them know what is happening.

They put you on them to regulate them, make them normal. Didn't you ask that before you left their office?

Start taking responsibility for your body; ask questions at the doctors office, just don't take something because they prescribe it, ask what it does, what are the reactions, etc. You can also ask your pharmacist questions about medications too.

Those pills should have come with an insert describing risks, side affects, etc., read it!

I have been taking the pill for 8 years due to really painful periods and it's the best thing I have ever done. The first time you have a little break or just some spoting I would start them. Take them at the same time every night. I know that that seems a little anal but trust me there are less side effects if you do, at least for me. My body is kinda wacky like yours. Take them for the three consecutive weeks and then go on the sugar pills. Your period will usually start within the first 2 to 3 days. I hope this helps.

Birth control is a common way to treat irregular periods, even if you're not sexually active. I was put on it when I was 19 and wasn't sexually active. My mom went on it when she was 14 and not sexually active. The risks are very small, especially if you're young and healthy. Don't stress about the side effects. You can always switch pills if you end up with extreme side effects. As for starting your pill, look at the directions that came with them. Did your doctor talk to you about a Sunday start, or starting the first day of your period. If you're not sexually active, you can start either way. If you're on your period now, you can start taking the pills at any point. They recommend Sunday just so that you're not getting your period over the weekend. If you don't have your period now, you can start the pill on the first day of your period, or pretty much any day during your period. You can check with your doctor, but you could actually start taking your pill at any point because your cycle is so irregular anyways. The sooner you start on the pill, the sooner your cycle will get regulated.

Well birth conroll pills help regulate your periods thats why he put you on them. You should take them if they were giving to you by your doctor, unless you dont feel comfortalbe, tell him about it.
