Has anyone developed a serious infection of the breast due to a nipple piercing?!
Question: I got both of my nipples pierced about 3 weeks ago, and now my left breast is very swollen (like about twice the size) and very painful up to my armpit. It feels like I am engorged with milk or something (NOT pregnant!) I actually had to take the left ring out. Does anyone have any experience with this, or does anyone know what it means. I'm contemplating going to the E.R., because I have no doctor.

go to E.R, if you do have an infe vtion wich it does sound like you do then you need to get it treated! there was an article around the other month where some girl had her nipple pierced and it got an infection and she had to have some of her breast removed as the infection was killing her breast tissue! not trying to scare you either =D
i had mine done last year but took it out as it got an infection and i had to have the hole of the piercing cleaned out and was on antibiotics for a week,,, so its bedt you get to a doctor and get it looked at just to be on the safe side

THis happened to my brother's ex girlfriend...get to the ER even if you took out the ring...you don't want the infection to get worse and you may need medication......
my friends daughter had the same thing happen to her, she was in terrific pain. she was tole to bath it in tcp, and doing that it eased the pain, after about 1week she was better. hope this helps xx
