I agree with ozboz. Consult your OB/GYN, or better yet, go to a reproductive endocrinologist.

My OB/GYN referred me out to a reproductive endocrinologist.

I have been through a battery of tests two times over (one for each doctor), and the specialist concluded that there's nothing "impressive" about my test results... When all was said and done, the fact that it took me 15 months to conceive was likely due to the fibroid that I had...which I have since had removed.

Please get this checked out on the front end. I became pregnant with this fibroid, and it resulted in a miscarriage. Then I had to heal from that, then the (laparoscopic) myomectomy, then my OB/GYN is saying to wait a year before TTC... :0(

And yes, fibroids--their size, their location, etc.--can make for a high-risk pregnancy. I recommend getting examined in advance.

There are many reasons couples have trouble conceiving. Fibroids can make it more difficult to carry a pregnancy. However, instead of trying to diagnose the problem yourself, pay a visit to your doctor. Best of luck to you.
