Will I lose weight on Synthroid?!
Question: I gained 50 pounds in 4 months and then was diagnosed with having hypothyroid. I have now started taking Synthroid and I was wondering if I will see a change in this weight coming off. I need to lose about 45 pounds by September for my wedding. I was just curious if anyone has seen a substantial weight loss after beginning this drug?

it is very possible that you will lose some weight . Your metabolism slows down when you are hypothyroid, as you get your levels back to more normal levels, your metabolism should get back to normal. It is doubtful however that you will lose all the weight without diet. I know it sucks doesn't it?
