When are you supposed to start going to the gynecologist?!

Question: when you're 18 or when you first become sexually active. its important at either of these times to go to the gyno and get a check up...not fun, but necessary! (you don't need to start seeing a gyno just becuase you've started your period, also sexual activity includes oral) If you're going to a gyno make sure you're honest about your sexual activity and ask for an STI/STD test if you are having sex.

Once you had sex or started your period. But I think 13 is the youngest age really.

you are supposed to go after you first get your period im pretty sure (so that they can make sure everything is okay with you down there). i havent had mine yet though, but from reading answers to other questions, this was the main response. hope i helped!!!! :)

when you become sexually active.

I agree with Pumpkin. But, if your family has a history of female medical issues then it may be something your doctor would discuss with you. Early detection is the key.

You should see a gyno after you get your first period because they will ask you questions about it to make sure everything is normal down there, also they will answer questions you are not comfortable asking an older female relative.
You should also see a gyno annually after you become sexually active
Or annually after you turn 18, even if you are not sexually active at this point, because they also test for issues that have nothing to do with sexual intercourse.

When you turn 18 or become sexually active....whichever is sooner.

DO NOT wait until you are sexually active. i think a few years after you get your first period is good. but you should go and make sure everything is working properly. you dont have to have sex to have "female" problems.
