Removing Pubic Hair...?!

Question: Well, I know there are all the Brazilians and waxes, but sometimes you can be a little self-concious for that, and it's painful, ya know?!
I've figured out a way to shave and help minimize it without getting a rash. You direct the razor downward instead of up.

But is there any other real way?

They make trimmers (like Bikini Touch) and sell them at home stores (Linens and Things, etc.) that work really well, are pain-free (impossible to cut yourself), and don't leave any irritation. The only down side is that you have to use them fairly often.

well...what age can you start waxing, or shaving pubic hair?

not really. either wax, or shave. shaving is less painful. other hair removal things aren't safe to use down there.

I use Nair!!! it's fast & easy. I just leave it on for about 8-13min. The time all deopends on your hair. But it rubs off qucik and easy and after what ever you missed just shave off!

I do it downward too, going up hurts.

If I want it super smooth, I rub a very small dab of my conditioner around my cooch and where the hair would normally grow and just lather it (even if you just shaved the day before). It softens it and makes it easier. Lather for about a minute or 2. Do the downward strokes until its down to the skin (but you can still the see the small hairs) and then I go sideways. Like... turn the razer blade vertical and go from left to right. Sometimes, it doesn't hurt as much if I do it at like.. a 45 degree angle going up.

This helps it stay smooth and to me, has a more effective look.

They make hair removal cream (i.e., veet, nair, etc.) that works for the bikini line. I learned the hard way not to use it on anything but that. It'll cause a horrible chemical burn on the labia. Blisters, pain, the works. And that was leaving it on for only 4 minutes. The bikini line was fine, but the rest... ouch. I could barely wear pants for a week.

A good way to shave is to trim it as closely as possible to the body with a pair of scissors, use a good lotion or shaving cream and a brand new razor, and go down, like you said. After you shave, apply more lotion to moisturize the area.

Shaving/trimming and waxing are the only ways you can safely remove hair from down there. The skin is way too sensitive for you to use a cream like Nair. It can actually cause burns on your skin.

I bought this $10 Conair trimmer at Walmart and it works great.

If you want the hair totally gone, find a really good body waxer, they can make it almost painless and you can wear a bikini bottom or something if you feel self conscious and they can work around it.
