Blood before period..?!
Question: i'm not supposed to start for at least another 5 days but last night after a bit of rough foreplay..don't ask..i noticed there was a bit of blood..i don't know whether this is spotting (which i never ever get), a pretty light period or some sort of sex accident..it's still there a bit today but nothing over night..i don't get it!!

Hi, it could be any of the things you mentioned. If you had particularly rough foreplay or intercourse it could be bleeding from a small tear or abrasion. It sounds like this may be what it is. But if that's the case it should go away today.
Spotting is usually not bright red blood, it's more brown (though it could be red). So, if it's more brown it's probably spotting and not an injury.
It could also be a light period. Of course, just because you never had spotting or a light period doesn't mean it can't happen. Women's cycle's change all of the time, unless you're on birth control to regulate it.
I wouldn't worry too much unless the bleeding continues in an irregular way (not consistent with your period or an injury). Then you may just want to talk to your ob/gyn.
