Question: How did your periods change after having it "installed"? lol Did they get considerably lighter? Go away altogether? For those of you whose periods went away completely, how long did it take for this to happen?

I got my Mirena mid November 2007, had a period that very month and have not seen it since.
Not all women cease to menstruate after getting fitted with the Mirena. Only 20% of Mirena users stop getting their period. You can see changes (if any) from soon after like myself or months to a yr or so later be it lightened/shorter or cessation of periods; some women see no change at all.
Results are really on a case to case basis and there's really no set time frame as to when you'll see a difference, if any.
