Period Cup??!

Question: I recently started hearing a lot about a cup you can wear when you're on your period - instead of pads or a tampon..

Does anyone use these - and what do you think of them?

There are disposable cups called Instead. I have been using them for years, and I really like them. You can wear them longer than a tampon, you don't have a string to poke out of a bathing suit or to pee on and sex is not messy. It does take some time to get used to inserting them. And I always remove mine in the shower. Remember that the cups collect the blood, they do not absorb it....so you will have a little cup full of blood. And that can be messy. They also make a reusable cup. The most common is called the Diva Cup. I have thought about looking into those. Instead cups are rather pricey, but then again, so are tampons. Best wishes.....

I'm a dude, but I've heard a lot of ladies sing loving praises for their period cup. From what I hear they are the cat's pajamas, slippers, and dangly sleeping hat.

they came out a few years ago (they were called "Instead") I actually really liked them, but then I couldnt find them anymore. They work great, but they can be a little messy when you first start using them until you get used to it (just taking them out) but after a few days, it's a piece a cake. What are they called now?

Its called the "instead" cup. it sounds weird to me, but ive heard other people swear by it.

hey my mom wants to use that... apparently her gynecologist reccomends it... i personally am not that adventurous when it comes to the place below my waist and above my knees, but do as you do.

My friend uses a "Mooncup" brand and swears by them.

Can't say I ever have.

The "instead" cup I've used and, like the previous poster said, they can be messy at first until you get used to them. There's also one called the "Diva" cup which is reusable and sold in health food stores.

I liked the Instead cup - as far as I can remember, you can have intercourse with it in as well without making a mess...

weird...I'll stick to squating outside the village...
