Why are some women able to maintain their figures for most of their adult lives?!

Question: Even after having several kids? How do they do it? Is it just great genetics? Because I see a lot of slim women with two or three kids that aren't going to the gym.

A lot of it IS genetics. The rest is plain hard work.

I lost my baby weight by walking down town with my baby. Saved on petrol costs and got free exercise.
Eat sensibly, drink more water and yes, move more.
Eating better also teaches your kids to eat better, healthier meals.
The USA has a lot of LARGE portions (everything supersized).

The mexicans eat a lot of beans and chilli. Apparently chilli increases your metabolism and makes you feel good so you don't go out and gorge on junk food to make yourself feel better.
They prolly don't lead a sedentiary lifestyle like a lot of western society does. We have become lazy with our technology doing everything for us. We don't even do our own dishes anymore!!! We drive everywhere and buy pre-prepared meals filled with excess salt, sugar and fat.

Eating right and exercise. I've seen some woman go on good diet plans or some just getting adequate exercise like going for a 30 minute walk daily.

Just staying fit, and keeping their bodies in shape. It's not how many kids they have, but it's what they do with their bodies when they're not pregnant.

Run/jog/walk daily, watch your food intake, keep yourself hydrated, and sleep well. These are some ways to keep your body in good shape.

either hard work or fantastic metabolisms

Discipline. knowing when to put the fork down and making a conscious choice to stay healthy for a longer life. Move your body more-Eat healthy foods in small portions. little sugar, little sodium, no soda...drink lots of water...Doesn't seem that hard.
