What wrong with me?!

Question: First I'll let you know Im already out of school so I dont need to talk to a teacher or anything lol & I know you all are not doctors but you might know

-- MOST Thing I do is skip out letters some one wrote "I love my new monitor" And I read it as "I love my new Motor" I have 2 reread it more than twice!

-- I have a hard time reading out loud. I refuse to do it because I am scared there will be a word a head that is too big for me to read ( Meaning I dont know how to pronounce it or what it is)

-- When I do read to myself I have to read it OVER at least 3 times and I have to have Silence to atleast try and understand it.

-- Sending out emails I have to go over it MANY times b4 I send it to make sure i didn't skip any words

--I skip at least 2-3 words at a time. Example: The paper says "Hey how was your day, are you ok?"
Me reading it: "was your day ok"

-- I also mix up letters I see 213 instead of 123

Also I sleep great, don't read to fast and my vision is 20/20

You are possibly suffering from dyslexia. Please visit this site to know more about it

Sounds like dyslexia. Sounds EXACTLY like dyslexia.

Your dyslexic. My little bro has the same thing.

honey, have you done any learning tests? like through a school. they can conduct a test so they can tell whether or not you have a learning disability. sounds like you have dyslexia.

get a learning test i think its called something else not a learning test...

good luck

Okay this problem will be reolved. You are obviously an extremely over conscious and conscientious girl. Sometimes taking too much care also is not good. I know it is easier said than done, but you have to start doing some things which will definitely help you. Firstly every morning when you get up after your tea or coffee, go in front of the mirror and tell yourself there is nothing wrong with me. I will be more careful not to commit mistakes in reading. Secondly, remember everyone commits mistakes, every one. Even Einstein did. So be a little more careful, though definitely not over-cautious.Thirdly try to read at a little slower pace. This will give you time to grasp the letters and the words and with a little more practice your reading is bound to improve. Fourthly, try not to be scared. When you are in front of the mirror tell yourself (every day) along with the above I am building up confidence and God willing I shall not commit mistakes, and I will not be scared. Sometimes this condition may be purely psychological without any psychological disorder. And last but not the least keep practising trying not to miss out words. Many a time, people try to read and understand everything at the same time. This is in my opinion unusual. Everyone cannot do that. So if you are doing that concentrate on reading accurately, at a slower pace and understanding will automatically keep coming with time. I would be the last person to call it dyslexia and I assure you you will overcome your problem. And of course best of lucks.

Definitely dyslexia.Consult a Doctor.U may have any other talent.Try to improve that talent.Dont get weired.Einstein (Scientist) had the same, when he was young.
The reason is your left brain works a little bit slow & your two eyes capture different figures and not the same.Thats why you are missing some words and figures.
There are so many field to improve your knowledge.U can go for it.U are very normal,so dont worry.
All the Best
