For the Pro-life people out there..?!

Question: i just commented on someone elses post about abortions.
i believe abortion is okay for many reasons. for one it is a womans choice. 2, i think it can be an UNselfish act in some ways. If the woman is not physically mentally or emotionally stable enough to have a kid, it is almost better for the baby itself not to be had.
Also, if abortion were illegial, do you realize the amount of babies that would be left on the street or in dumpsters...and adoption agencies would overflow...
i would like to know your opinion if you are pro-life why you are that way.
I dont want to hear how grusome it is..because yeah, i believe women that are more than 2 months prego SHOULD have it...but if you catch it right away..BEFORE it is anything more than a clump of cells...no heart, no brain, no anything.. why is it that horrible in your opinion? you take a pill and thats it.

Please dont get all frustrated and go on a rant. based on what i just said im curious about your thougts.

The truth is, an abortion actually mentally and emotionally hurts a woman more than keeping the child does. Many times women have been seriously hurt and alot have died during abortions. Besides killing the baby, the mom is often hurt in ways unimaginable. Sure you can say that adoption agencies would overflow, but I wonder how they would overflow in the first place. Probably because people are having sex for no other reason than pleasure, and they don't want to accept the consequences. The point is not abortion and life, its how you got in the situation in the first place. Rape may be a factor, but that doesn't account for the thousands of abortions done every year. And if a woman does get pregnant, its her and her partners responsibility to take care of the child, since they were the ones who brought him/her into the world in the first place. By the time you actually notice the baby, its already more than just a clump of cells. Here are the reasons I believe that the fetus is actually human. First of all, there are only four differences, development, dependency, environment, and size.

Development- A fetus still needs to develop many body parts before it is ready to leave the womb. Lets take for example a 3 year old girl, we would all say that she is very human. However, her body still needs to develop certain parts to reproduce later on in life. She is still to young and needs to grow. Does that make her any less human than the rest of us? Ofcourse not, just like a fetus in the womb, she still needs to develop alot before becoming a woman. Even the bodies of most 13 year olds still have a lot to do.

Dependecy- A fetus depends on his/her mother to survive, and without her, they will die. Does this make him/her any less human? Many of us rely on medication and sometimes even 24/7 care to survive. That doesn't mean we are any less human, does it?

Environment- 8 inches and you suddenly become human. Does this really make sense? We often travel around the world to different climates, step from a plane to a new country, swim, turn over in bed. When go for a walk outside, does that make me more human? It really is a lot farther than 8 inches, and no one will kill me for doing it, yet a baby doesn't have that same chance. I personally think thats kinda unfair, isn't it? Babies can be killed anytime until the moment they are born. Its really sad actually.

Size- If we had to depend on size, all the tall and fat people would rule the world and little people could be killed off. So just because your smaller, does that make you any less human? Is it really fair to kill off life that can soon think, breath, laugh, cry, smile, walk, talk, hear, feel, sing? A fetus can do many of these things even 5 weeks after conception. Nine months of danger. Is the mother the only one who has the choice? This baby is too small to speak out. The fetus has no rights and can be killed off just like that. One more life snuffed out. One more chance of a great person who can make things better, who can change the world, gone, just like that. Many children left alone in the world have grown up to be great leaders, they have made a difference, and we kill off humans just like them, legally. You give me any reason why these unborn people are not human, and I will totally agree with you. These are the reasons I am pro-life. I hope that is all the information you need.

I just feel that there are so many options out there that a woman should seriously consider such as the fire station thing I think that is a wonderful idea the baby gets to keep it's life and the mother doesn't have to have any part of it if she chooses not to. Also adoption is great. But I am not a judge these are my personal opinions only and I have never been in a situation where I have had to choose but I just can't see myself taking the life of someone who can not defend themselves. I also believe that life begins at conception and all though it may be a clump of cells it is a clump of cells that will eventually grow into a child

I'm not pro-life but I totally agree with you! My friends friend was raped when she was in the 4th grade and she started developing earlier then everyone else so she got pregnant. The parents of the girl were too poor to pay for an abortion so she had to go ahead and have the baby. I think it's really sad, but I agree with you on the other stuff too.

That is a life from the moment of conception, period. And I believe killing it is wrong. I don't think a woman has the "right" to do that.....that baby has rights too.

Well, for me being pro-life is a personal conviction.....I feel it would be wrong(morally speaking) to end the life that is started at conception. No offense against anyone, but I also feel if a person thinks they are responsible enough to take the step of having sex, then they should be responsible enough to use protection(more than one kind to be safe!) to prevent abortion from ever being an issue.....and if they fail in being responsible enough in that, then they need to pay the consequence of being responsible in seeing that the life they created is given a chance to have the best....seeing the pregnancy through and then adoption or parenthood. That's just how I feel.........:-)

I believe in pro-life, but i dont belive that the right of being able to have an abortion should not be taken away. I personally think they are wrong. Although people say that they dont have a heart or brain or anything. That is strictly science. And honestly science doesnt know everything. There are a lot of eastern medications that work but modern science doesnt know why even thought they acknolegde it works. So my point is how do we know what really happens to the baby, and how do we know there is no pain. I have belief in God, and i think only he know those things. The other reason i think its bad is because it is killing a human being. Maybe there unborn but its still a baby. Why can people be charged for murder of a unborn baby. So i personally think it is wrong. But i don't think the right should be taken away.

It's a very complicated question, at least for some people, and none of my damm business. It's your body, it's your husband/family/lover/whatever. But, you asked.

I see abortion as a difficult solution to a very difficult problem. It's never good, but sometimes everything else is worse. I also see that there is only one [potentially] independent life until about six months in. Once there's a chance that a baby, however premature, could live on its own, the landscape changes for me. Until that point, the sole voting occupant of the body has veto power.

One of my friends is an avid pro-choicer. When he & she discovered an unexpected uterine growth as a result of their impulsiveness, they chose. They chose to take the pregnancy to full term and raise the child, despite circumstances where no pregnancy would have been a lot easier to deal with for the next 20 years. Pro-choice people can do that, or choose not to.
