Is it possible to fix being pigeon toed?!

Question: I'm 22 and I'm pigeon toed (feet point inward). I've always been pigeon toed, but I'm tired of it and I hear it can cause knee and back problems later in life.

What can I do? The foot braces wont help me because the problem is in my hips. I've tried to force my feet to face forward when I walk but its very uncomfortable for my knees and I can't keep it up very long.

I tried dance classes, but it was very alkward because I have no turn out and can't stand in a lot of positions because I can't turn my feet out.

So is there anything I can do? I'm getting ready to ask a doctor, but I'd like to here from others who might know or who have my problem. Thanks..

i'm pigeon toed too. When i was a child, i should've gotten braces on my feet but for some reason the doctor said i didn't need them. i don't think there is anything to do about it.

my bro got special shoess wenhe was young and it fixed it

well some people do it out of habit like my brother had it for years then he started tellin people to tell him when he was doing it and he would just make them go normal and eventually it started working i dont know if that helps you though

Sometimes I catch myself standing pigeon toed, even though its never really been a problem. But I definitely think you should talk to your doctor, the only thing I've heard of doing is wearing the braces. Good luck though :)

Maybe yoga would help. I know every time I go my body feels completely realigned. And maybe if you do it enough, your feet will stretch, you know, like ballerinas train their feet to over point. I hope you find a solution :)
