Any horror stories about Paragard or IUD use?!
Question: Ok, I've asked a couple of questions about this before, but they were mostly positive. Now I want to hear the worst. If you've had a bad experience with an IUD (Paragard), let me know.

I just wanted to let you know that whenever you ask for positive stories, you'll get a few and when you ask for negative stories, people have never been more eager to talk in their lives. At least in my experience with Paragard, there have been a few bad things, but the good far outweighed it. I am the same age as you btw with no children. Nothing horrific happened to me, but I do have heavier periods and worse cramping, and it took me about 3 months to get used to it. A lot of the horror stories stem from having an inexperienced doctor insert them, and that's really the most important part, so please find a good one!!
Well where I'm from I heard this ONE story about a woman who got an IUD, but she ended up getting pregnant.
going through with the pregnancy and upon going into labour her baby came out withthe IUD cluched in it's hand.
not too sure how true it is though.......
In my day, a "diaphram" was the standard IUD, and I had a couple of encounters with the diaphrams of 20 years ago, and made my (then) wife to be break into hysterical laughter when I described my experience with her diaphram as being like trying to (make love to) a mousetrap.
I am unfamiliar with Paragard and with modern advances in IUD technology.
