well normal discharge is clear. But when you first get your period it's brown, so maybe that's what she was referring to.
you mean period discharge?? No, it is not clear, mine looked exactly like blood...I'm 26 (probably not as old as your mom), but I remember my first period like it was yesterday!!! Give your mom a little more credit, she's been around for a little longer than your friends!!!
The very first discharge is either clear or yellowish in color, then it will turn brown right before your menstrual cycle and then the blood will turn it red.
Listen to the ladies they are right. Have faith in mom she has been around a little longer.
