Okay... how does this work? Women with expirience please...?!

Question: I made plans to go to the creek today and try to link up with one of my friends. Some of the way I have to wade through water, and possibly swim, too. It's pretty deep. But, I hadn't expected this to happen- 16 days after my last period my period starts again...

I didn't want that to ruin my plans, and I tried to use a tampon, the "O.B.", it's smallest size. Well, it didn't work. On my last attempt it hurt like no other, so I quit trying to make it work. What should I do, or how do I get it to work? I'm expecting to swim a lot this Summer, so any suggestions will help.

Thanks!

A lot of women have trouble putting a tampon in if they're sitting down on the toilet. I know I do! I have to stand up and kind of bend forward a little bit to get it to work, even with the OB kind. some women need to stand and put one leg up on the toilet or on the edge of the bath tub. Just practice a bit. It takes some getting used to, and some practice before you know what you need to do to get it to work with your body.

It could also be that you have an especially thick hymen. You might have just enough of a perforation in it to allow your period to come through, but otherwise not enough space to allow anything in. You can ask your doctor or your mom about that. If you really want to use a tampon so you can swim as much as you want to this sumer, it doesn't really hurt much and it won't mean you're not a virgin if you break your hymen yourself.

But I bet it's probably just that you haven't found the right position for putting in tampons. Keep trying!

Try using "slim fit" made by Tampax. It is hard the first time, but you just have to completely relax and stick it up there. After it's inserted, you won't even feel it!
Just keep trying, you have a lot of time before summer gets here ?

I don't think she is trying to have sex with a tampon in! Lol, are you?? Your question is a bit vague. Are you having trouble inserting the tampon? Try some KY jelly to lubricate the tampon.

I personally prefer Kotex to any other brand. I suggest you start with the junior size. I don't know about hymen/tampon problems, because I accidentally broke mine when I fell down well before my teen years.

Once you get the tampon in the proper place, there aren't many nerves, and it won't feel. If it is too low, it will "feel".

I just wanted to say that I admire you for waiting until marriage to have sex. You go, girl!

trying to have sex with a tampon in does not sound like a good idea....
