Question about Gardasil?!
Question: Is this primarily for sexually active women or anything? I'm not at all active. My gyn knows this, but still suggests I look into the vaccine. I didn't realize it was appropriate for anyone who is 9-26.

Gardisal is not for just for women sexually active. Like you said 9-26 year olds should get it. I highly recommend getting the vaccinations. I've only had 1 of the 3 shots. It's like the Meningitis vaccination, most people have their children get it when they are young. And if they didn't when they were young, then its recommended to get it before they go to college. It's a vaccination to fight against the HPV Virus that causes cervical cancer. It's really good for you regardless if your sexually active, however, you should continue getting pap smears annually, anyways. Hope I've Helped! :)
Since most types of HPV are sexually transmitted, yes. However, I am 15, not sexually active, and several of my doctors recommended it. It won't do any harm, so it's always better to be safe than sorry
ive had 2/3 shots of it, VERY painful, but id rather do that than risk HPV. that would suck, sexually active or not.
i am myself not or ever have been sexually active, i was also advised t have the needles, i also wanted to have it done anyway as i was told that it would be better as i have never been in contact with any of the hpv viruses, and when i do become sexually active it should help to prevent the viruses from occuring or maybe be less harmful or whatever.
i have now had all three of my needles and it was not that bad and it was free not that, that matters, but why not help to protect ourselves. hope that helps
