Implantation bleeding or weird menstruation....?!

Question: Ever since my second child was born, i've had weird menstrual cycles...meaning, not regular(about every 6 wks, give or take). Anyways the dr said this is because of hormones, and not to worry about it, that it's fine.
Anyways, my problem is this....
For about two days, it seems as if my period wants to come...I have spotting when I wipe, and my stomach feels a little crampy(not much). Anyways, as usual..i'm late, but I just took a pregnancy test(which came back negative), but someone mentioned implantation bleeding? Is this a possibility even if the test was negative?(and it was reallt two tests)
Or could this just be a prelude to my actual cycle?

Implantation bleeding does exist, but what you describe isn't it. Implantation bleeding should only last a few hours or a day at most - you would see just a couple drops when you wipe, but normally only once or twice.

Given your history of being late recently and the two days of spotting, I vote that your period is just working around to coming.

More than likely you're right about this being a prelude to your actual period. If you've been having irregular periods, that's probably what this is. If you haven't had a period in two weeks, take another test.
