How often should you change your pad/tampon?!
Question: Do not leave a tampon in for over 5 hours and be sure to take it out everytime before going to the bathroom and replacing it with a new one afterwards when you are "fresh"! I suggest playtex flushable wipes! Never leave a tampon in and use the restroom at the same time... urine is absorbed into the tampon! If you are not urinating within a 5 hour period then I suggest you look into how much water you are drinking everyday. Drinking adequate fluids will help your body better maintain everything and lessen your chances of developing a UTI !

Every time you go to the bathroom
Tampon at the most is 8 hours, but I change mine more frequently. When I used pads i changed them every time I went to the bathroom.
pads and tampons are terrible for the environment and for yourself...bleached cotton in my vag***??!! eww. I use a DivaCup.

A pad should be changed every three or four hours, and possibly more often on days when the flow is heavy. The other reason to change them often is that an odor can develop over time.
We have to be responsible enough to make sure to change the tampon frequently as there is a higher risk of developing Toxic Shock Syndrome(TSS) if tampons are left in for long periods of time.
