Vaginal Itch?!

Question: Hey, so...i got it but i dunno why. I'm more concerned with getting it to stop.

so i think it may have to do with the detergent i used (cause I am allergic to mostly everything except All and i had to substitute one day for something else...yup college life)...

but i dunno...

it doesn't itch constantly but when it does, its crazy.

I looked up some stuff online..

....no burning...no discharge...no odor....when I looked in the mirror "down there", there wasn't anything out of the norm except it was red (yea, probably cause i couldnt resist scratchin)...

...no other symptoms...

...oh but this may have something to do with it...when I am laying down in bed, everytime I lay on a particular side, (i think my left), the other side (from under arm down) constantly itches until i go flat on my back/stomach or back or I turn on the other side....

am i dieing?...lol, no really, whats up?

I get itching discomfort as well. At first I thought it was related to a yeast infection as well but when I went to the doctor and treated it, it didn't fix it. It is possible that it may be another bacteria infection that isn't 'yeast' so it doesn't hurt to see a gynacologist. I discovered my itching was because I was shaving EVERYTHING off and when it was growing back, at a certain stage, the itching is aweful. There are some non medicated products that I use that have been helpful. Try a product called 'Tucks' from any drug store. They are small circular pads that have a cooling itch soothing wetness and they have really helped...a little expensive though. ALSO vagisil makes a line of cleaning creams and foams that aren't medicated that take away itch and leave you feeling cool and refreshed. Mind you, it was a little embarassing purchasing them from the male checkout dude, but I am glad I did. Vagisil makes a cream specifically for non yeast related feminine itching. It could be from shaving- try stopping for a week and see if it helps. Good luck and don't be embarassed. it is really common.

did you shave? that could be it

Yeast infection.

use talcom powder

You use yahoo for this? Go to the doctor. C'mon people.

it may not be a yeast infection, but an infection none the less. you can use things like vagistat and things like that to help the itching, but i'd go to a doctor, especially since this has something to do with an allergic reaction.

Im a (MD) medical doctor. and i think you may have a yeast infection. i suggest you douche yourself.(clean your pussy)

could definitely be a detergent allergy.

could also be an alergy to scented feminine products. make sure your tampons or pads are not scented or deodorant.

could also be a yeast infection. sometimes are are no discharges with a yeast infection. if changing your detergent and switching to unsecented pads doesn't work... go to the doctor and get yeast infection medicine.

go to the doctor!!

it could be shaving, or your underwear, try to wear cotton ones only

thats personal, but maybe contact a doctor... i have no idea whats goin on. i guess you dont either.

ITS NORMAL DUH!!!!!

Just because you don't have odor discharge or burning, you still could have a minor yeast infection. Are you taking any new medications? New type of cloths? Under-ware? There are some over the counter 1 day treatments, it wouldn't hurt to try one.

Sounds like an allergy. Get some Benadryl. Then wash all your clothes and bedding in All if you know you aren't allergic to that detergent. I would get a douche to stop the vaginal itching, too. Good luck.

may be you are having that problem because you are sensitive to alot of things that you are not aware of. Certain soaps and body washes may bother you, even lotions and ect... I would suggest using things that are hypo allergic.
if you panties are made of may bother you. Usually 100%cotton is ok, so look out for that too

It probably is either the detergent you used, or you might have a slight rash from shaving down there (I always get that when i do).
You have a few options here (but keep in mind this is nothing serious like a yeast infection or STD if you have none of the symptoms you described), and they are:
1. Go talk to your doctor or gynecologist (if you have one) they will be able to tell you exactly whats wrong and leave out all the guess work. They will probably prescribe a pill and topical cream for your, if anything.
2. You can go to pharmacy and look in the cream section for something that matches the description of your rash, or get a special cream for razor burns, which would probably work for a detergent rash as well. I'm sure you could also ask the pharmacist for help if you don't think it's necessary to go to the doctor. There are some non medicated products that I use that have been helpful. Try a product called 'Tucks' from any drug store. They are small circular pads that have a cooling itch soothing wetness
3. Do nothing, and ignore your rash until it, hopefully, goes away. Now, I wouldn't recommend this because if it was an allergic reaction to detergent it might get infected. But if you really feel you do not have the time to do the other 2 options, you can always just wait it out, itch it, scratch it, whatever.
Personally I would recommend doing the 1st option over the 2nd and 3rd.
But I really hope this helped, good luck.

You could be allergic to detergent or have a fungal infection or both.

Change your laundry detergent to a clear detergent - wash everything - see if it gets better.

Try a jock itch cream on your vulva and anywhere it itches.

Give it 3 days. No improvement - see a doctor.
